Texas, Austin

Welcome to the Lone Star state, Texas! It’s the second largest state in USA. I was visiting the city of Austin which is known as being more liberal and urban in comparison to the rest of the Texas.

On the first night we ended up going to Rainy street and sixth street. There lots of pop up restaurants and food trucks on rainy street. I tried some tacos from a food truck and then we went in to a craft beer house. The beer I tried was light but a bit too bitter for me.

Hope Gallery is an outdoor gallery for all artists to come and participate. I love street art and this place was all about freedom so you could create anywhere. I heard that they were going to close down and move it somewhere else. I left a little bit of me here.

We spent a few hours checking out SoCo which is the South Congress shopping area of Austin. There was a huge costume shop, I loved it! They had lots of vintage and fabulous costumes. My star buy was some heart earrings. The shops were cute and boutique.

The southern state is known for it’s barbecue flavours. Terry Black’s is one of the best BBQ joints in the world. There was a queue out the door for their food. Their Beef brisket was sublime! One of my friends had a beef rib which was enormous.
