California, The Golden State

California the glorious Golden State is my favourite. Three of my highlight moments were at Yosemite national park, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Yosemite

I am young, wild and free. My heart is super content when I am surrounded by mountains, waterfalls and rivers. The essence of peace flowing throughout the park. We spent two night camping in Yosemite National Park, star-gazing, moon loving and listening to the soft sounds of a flowing river. For me, it was my favourite Park. There were huge towering granite cliffs, giant sequoias and beautiful wild flowers.

We hiked for around 7 hours going up mountains no back down again only to go up another one. The trail was panoramic we walked past several waterfalls. It was stunning, I have a real love for being in the outdoors now.

Our evenings were filled with campfires, games and of course Smors.

San Francisco

San Francisco is the city by the bay! I realised how much I love being near the ocean! San Francisco has it all, it is a very pretty and creative city. With each neighbourhood telling a unique story. I was staying down the road from Union Square, which was a good base for getting around the city. I loved Chinatown, San Francisco has one of the largest chinatowns in the USA. I tried new flavours of bubble tea from Strawberry Matcha Green to Thai tea. Bubble tea has become my favourite drink! I went to a Chinese cookie shop, it was funny to see how they made the fortune cookies. It was a fortune cookie factory.

One of my highlights has got to be cycling across the Golden Gate Bridge. It was a really nice day so visibility of the bridge was fantastic. It was a really enjoyable cycle and once you reach the other end, there was a lovely quaint town called Salsaulito. It looked like a Spanish town and had great seafood.

Los Angeles

Keeping this short and sweet because so much happened in Los Angeles! I was with the most amazing authentic family, who poured into my young creative heart. To sum up my time in one sentence. My life changed forever!

Yes of course, I did all the touristy things too! Santa Monica and Venice Beach were sweet.
