Las Vegas, Nevada & Death Valley

From camping in the Grand Canyon, our next stop on the road trip was Las Vegas! Wow, I had so much fun with the crew. Las Vegas can be described as a Disneyland for adults. There was a castle and pyramid and in our hotel there was a swimming pool with a fish tank in the middle and a slide going through it. It’s an eccentric city. We checked out a few casinos, I don’t gamble but on this occasion I had a go on the fruit machines. It was hilarious, I ended up winning on the 1 cent machine, it was enough to buy a Las Vegas buffet dinner the next day.

The Bellagio, Ceasers palace are cool places to check out. I enjoyed the water fountains in front of the Bellagio. It’s all timed to music, it was really neat. We had pre -drinks at the hotel before heading out on our party bus. It was such a nice way to celebrate with my friends. We stopped at the Las Vegas sign, wedding chapels, cruised down the main Vegas strip and finally a club.

When we arrived back to our hotel in the early hours of the morning. My keycard had stopped working. It felt like a hangover movie moment, thankfully the lady at reception sorted it all out. The following day, I spent lazing around by the swimming pool. I had such a nice time in Vegas and would go back again. I would like to see a music show next time.

After Vegas, we went to Death Valley. It was named this because the people who first discovered it, thought they wouldn’t survive. It was extremely hot, filled with sand swirls and salt flats.
